Money Heist Season 5 - Are You Ready?

The creators of Money Heist, or ‘La Casa de Papel’ in its native Spanish, declared some time ago that ‘Money Heist Season 5’ would be full of twists and turns - and judging by the trailer, it seems they have kept their word!

 

The fifth season of Money Heist is divided into two parts, containing five episodes each. The release date for part 1 is 3rd September, while part 2 will follow on 3rd December. 

The Vol. 1 trailer was released this past Monday, and guess what? It will be up to Lisbon to lead the gang in the absence of the Professor. Speaking of the Professor, we’re so happy to learn that he has only been taken hostage by Alicia Sierra and not ‘defeated’, as the finale of season 4 led us to believe. Alicia is shown in a scene where she finally manages to find him... and then everything goes dark. Guess we’ll have to watch the series to find what happens! 

It’s great to see returning for season 5 of this Netflix original series, masked members Alvaro Morte (the Professor), Ursula Corbero (Tokyo), Jaime Lorente Lopez (Denver), Miguel Herran (Rio), Darko Peric (Helsinki), Itziar Ituno (Raquel) and Esther Acebo (Monica). These amazing actors will be joined by the two new entries from season 4, Luka Peros and Rodrigo de la Serna, playing 'Marsella' and 'Palermo' respectively. 

What we found particularly interesting is a cameo in the trailer of Money Heist cast members that we thought we would never see again. We came across a couple of scenes featuring Berlin (Pedro Alonso) and Nairobi (Alba Flores), thought to have 'disappeared' in past seasons. Some, however, believe the scenes featuring the characters are actually flashbacks. What are your thoughts? 

 

We have so many questions after watching the Money Heist trailer for season 5. Will the Professor escape Alicia Sierra’s claws? Will we get to see Berlin and Nairobi once again? We can’t wait to get our hands on additional intel on Money Heist season 5, and, of course, we are eager to watch the first part in September!
